piptracker — user guide
piptracker is a mental-health self-observation app. You open it, log a few numbers — and optionally some tags or a short note — about how you are doing, and walk away. Over time, the Stats screens and the PDF report help you notice how mood, energy, sleep, stress, pain and their companions move together, whether for your own understanding or to bring a clearer picture to a professional.
piptracker is a tool for observing yourself, not for diagnosing yourself. It does not assess, diagnose or score you, and nothing in it is a medical judgement. If you are struggling, talk to a professional. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.
Three things define it:
- It observes, never assesses. Every scale is your own subjective one. There are no diagnoses, no scores, no thresholds, no validated instruments. The PDF report's every page says so in its footer: "self-tracked · not a diagnostic record".
- Logging is a five-second activity. The daily loop — open, log, done — is deliberately simple, and stays simple no matter how much you customize. Customization lives on its own tab and never blocks logging.
- Your data stays on your phone. No account, no cloud, no sync. See Where your data lives.
It is not a habit tracker: there are no streaks, no "you missed yesterday", no engagement mechanics. Reminders are a convenience that never escalates, and even the optional Goals feature is a quiet, factual "N of M" — never a score, never shame.

The bottom bar
Five slots: Home · Stats · Check-in · Customize · Data. The raised circle in the middle is the logging surface — the app's front door. Home is where the app starts and where Back always returns.
Every tab's header gear opens the shared Settings sheet: Appearance (theme and dark mode), Home layout, Time format, Rating scale, Language (English / Deutsch / System), Guest mode, Backup reminder, About, and Reset.
